First day of the inaugural Surf SUP competition in Tofino. No matter if you were in the waves or just watching from the beach, you were going to get wet as the Raincoast lived up to it's name. This is no deterrent for the west coast surfers who donned wetsuits and got on with it.
The event held at Chestermans Beach and organized by Catherine Bruhwiler of
www.tofinopaddlesurf.com was attended by 64 paddle surfers from around the globe and was also a qualifier for the Canadian National Team making for some great competitive action.
