SANTA SHUFFLE
A little light rain didn’t dampen the spirits for over 300 reindeer, elves and bell jingling runners who got the festive season off to a running start at the annual Santa Shuffle in Victoria this morning. In fact, by mid-shuffle, the sun decided to join, casting a rainbow over Banfield Park where Santa and his helpers welcomed the runners across the finish line.
The 1Km and 5km events take place on the first Saturday of December in 39 cities over Canada with 6 events in British Columbia and raises donations for Salvation Army. The Victoria race alone raised over $10,000 which will go towards assisting those in need this Christmas season.
